Achille Perilli (b. 1927)

Achille Perilli was born in Rome in 1927.

 

After attending University, along with Attardi, Consagra, Dorazio, Guerrini, Accardi, Sanfilippo and Turcato he was a co-founder of the avant-garde group Forma 1, inspired by Marxism, and later he founded Gruppo Arte Sociale (GSA) together with Dorazio, Guerrini, Vespignani, Buratti, Muccini and Maffioletti.

 

From 1948 to 1986 he joined Quadriennale in Rome and in 1963-64 he hold a show in Middle East and North Africa; thanks to the library-gallery “Age d’Or” he organized different types of events, including the collaboration with Triennale in Milan, invited by Lucio Fontana.

 

His works are classified as Geometrical Abstractism and carachterized by strong and bright colors.
