Riccardo Bagnoli (1963)
Riccardo Bagnoli was born in Florence.
Starting at first with fashion, he proves himself as one of the biggest ADV photographers, so that the Louvre permanently shows four of his artworks in its advertising pavillon . Besides the advertising field for which he won the most prestigious awards, such as the Cannes Golden Lion, he has been carriyng on a personal career. His first personal exibition, DURING, was in 1966.
Bagnoli collaborates with important national magazines by shooting famous people from various cultural spheres: in 2001 he realized a collection of portraits which will become part of his HEROES exibition.
In 2008 through the collaboration with Panorama First he “gave birth” to fifteen portraits of famous Italian writers each one shot in his own “place of soul”.
In 2009 took part to Venice Biennale with an event-exibition hosted at Scuola dei Mercanti, in collaboration with Sandro Chia: THE WARRIORS is the title of this retrospective that features 20 warriors (clay copies of the original ones from Hi'an museum) reinterpreted by Bagnoli in new landscapes, searching for new narrative places.
